Hydro Active SD is a one-stop-shop for paddle board, kayak & surfboard rentals, fitness classes, tours, and lessons. What sets us apart from other SUP companies besides our very unique classes, is that we deliver the rental equipment to you! Let us do all the work of lugging around the equipment so you can spend more time having fun on the water!
Since its culmination Hydro Active has elevated the SUP fitness game by bringing on creative and innovative instructors, lessons, and classes. We have top of the line trainers leading SUP yoga, pilates, and boot camp style classes if you are looking for a unique and challenging workout. Or if you would like to see our city from a different perspective try one of Hydro Active's paddle tours or sunset sessions. We also offer SUP lessons to get you comfortable on the water.

Ciara Guedesse
Manager & SUP Guide
Ciara is a SUP instructor personal trainer, yoga Instructor, climber, adventure guide and an avid outdoor enthusiast who is dedicated to health and wellness. She is a vigorous fan of preventive medicine and deeply believes in practicing self care. Ciara and Craig can be found adventuring with their two dogs Jameson and Ronin pretty much year round. They are passionate about preserving the planet and educating future generations about Leave No Trace. They want to personally thank you for choosing Hydro Active SD for all your SUP, Kayak, Surf and fitness class needs!

Craig Lichtenfeld
Operations Manager & SUP/Surf Instructor
Craig is a born and raised San Diego Native who loves the outdoors! He can be found out on the trail with his dogs, in the water on a surf or paddleboard, setting up camp in some remote location in the wilderness or rock climbing. Craig is happiest sharing his love for nature and adventure with others. He is a surf and SUP instructor and looks forward to getting you out on the water.

Laurel Smith
Ripped Tide & SUP Yoga Instructor
Laurel is a certified SUP and Yoga instructor and has created her very own class/brand called Ripped Tide. It is a blend of sculpt yoga, vinyasa and bootcamp on a paddle board. She has spent countless hours collecting certifications and producing original content that are constantly evolving to maintain uniqueness specific to each individual cause. Her commitment to excellence and attention to fine detail make her interactions with any and all clients unparalleled, and her pledge to promoting Health and Wellness allows no boundaries.

Scott Hargrove
SUP Guide
Scott is an avid outdoorsman who has a deep appreciation for adventure. Originally hailing from the Lake Tahoe area, Scott grew up with the wilderness in his backyard. He has many years of experience skiing, white water rafting, hiking, biking, camping, fishing, scuba diving and paddle boarding. If it's outdoors...you name it, he's there!

Christine Bustamante
Sup Yoga Instructor
Born and raised in Southern California, Christine has always had a love for the outdoors. These days you can find her walking along Ocean Beach or Liberty Station with her dog, West.
Christine discovered hot yoga while studying Marine Biology on Oahu. After coming back to SD she got her 200 hr YTT certification, 400, and 600 hr. Alongside water safety and many other rad talents. She leads all of Hydro Actives’ SUP Yoga classes.

Jenergy
Sup Yoga & Sup Pilates Instructor
Jennifer "Jenergy" Diamond is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and 200 HR Yoga Instructor who has been teaching group and individual lessons in both disciplines as well as Mat Pilates for 15 years. She is an expert in Core, Women's fitness and Proprioception training. With a background in martial arts and dance she will make use your core and proper breathing to increase muscle strength and power to help you work smarter and torch calories!

Jessica Klarman
Sup Yoga Instructor
Jessica is an east coast native but has called San Diego home for 10 years. She discovered yoga 9 years ago, it became a way to stretch and incorporate body weight training into her routine and over time discovered all the other wonderful benefits to the practice. She discovered she was less anxious, less stressed and more flexible, not just physically but mentally. Soon she was sharing her passion with her friends and family and wanted to teach people all about the benefits of yoga. She received her 200 hr teacher training in April 2017 for vinyasa, her yin training in December 2019 and will complete SUP teacher training this spring.

Lisa Fasano
Sup Fitness Instructor
Lisa Is a free spirited yogi who spends lots of time upside down teaching headstands. She has been a SUP yoga instructor for many years and enjoys bringing her love for yoga from the mat to the board.

Laura Gomez
Sup Yoga Trainee
I am a lifelong student of mind and body healing modalities, a 200hr RYT, a health and wellness coach in training, and wildly passionate about experiencing all the magic life has to offer. I am currently finishing a Masters in Mind Body Medicine while working as a therapeutic behavior coach. I am also training to be certified in SUP Yoga over the Summer.

Jameson Ryan
Doggy Paddle Instructor
He enjoys long paddles in the bay, head scratches and chasing the ball! He's an all around good boi!
